Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to receive, clean, sterilize and store surgical instruments. Evening shift 2pm-10:30pm with weekend rotations; SPD experience required. Requires certifications in sterile processing and related areas.

The role involves high hygiene standards and the ability to work under pressure. Qualified candidates will have a HS diploma and 1+ year of related experience, with the ability to handle hazardous materials and follow safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• CPSDT or HSPA certifications listed: CSPDM, CSPDT, CSPM, CRCST, CHL, CST, CIS, CER, CCSVp.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents required quality assurance testing and inspections.
• Properly disposes of bio-hazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and supplies.
• Cleans, disinfects, decontaminates, and sterilizes surgical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods and substances.
