Job summary

You will clean, sterilize, assemble, and inspect instruments, operate sterilization equipment, and keep accurate records. Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as an Instrument Technician or Central Service Technician or relevant instrument processing experience.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and nomenclature of equipment used in the department
• Certification with Sterile Processing preferred

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the Standards of Conduct; completes SOC acknowledgment and required compliance training.
• Performs decontamination, organization, and assembly of instrument sets after procedures.
• Maintains supplies for instrument repackaging, decontamination, Steris units, and autoclave testing.
• Adds instrumentation to case carts and communicates with scrub and circulating staff.
• Adapts to workload changes and maintains professionalism under pressure.
• Ensures patient safety per TJC standards; identifies patients per policy and follows CDC hand hygiene guidelines; documents legibly.
