Job summary

St. Bernardine Medical Center, part of Dignity Health, is seeking a Manager Sterile Processing to lead the Central Sterilization department in San Bernardino, CA.

You will oversee preparation and sterilization of instrumentation, staff hiring, training, and policy development to ensure compliance with federal, state, and professional standards. The role emphasizes quality assurance across Outpatient Surgery Center and L&D, with opportunities for professional growth in a mission-driven health

Qualifications

• Five (5) years acute care Hospital experience required.
• Three (3) years managerial experience directly related to Sterile Processing required.
• HSPACertified and Registered Central Service Technician Certification (CRCST), or CBSPD Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Supervisor (CSPDS), or CBSPD Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Tech (CSPDT) required.
• HSPACertified Healthcare Leader (CHL) required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Central Sterilization department operations and guidance for instrument prep and sterilization.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and professional standards; develop and update departmental policies.
• Interview, hire and train Sterile Processing staff; lead staff meetings and inservice trainings.
• Conduct quality assurance across departments using hospital sterilized products.
