Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an Instrument Tech to join the team at Dignity Health – St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, California. In this role, you will ensure the availability, cleanliness, and functionality of surgical instruments and equipment, adhering to established sterilization procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, certification as a Central Service Technician, and ideally 6-12 months of relevant experience. The pay range is $28.61 to $35.96 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or have a GED upon hire.
• Certification in Central Service Technician or a related field is required upon hire.
• Preferred: 6-12 months of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability, cleanliness, and functionality of surgical instruments.
• Clean, package, label, process, and store sterile supplies.
• Sort and assemble surgical instruments according to established procedures.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness and function.
• Report any issues with instrumentation.
