Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a Central Service Tech to maintain standards for sterile instrument sets, decontaminate and assemble instruments, and ensure timely storage and distribution of medical supplies.

The role collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets and equipment, supporting continuous workflow and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Central Services Processing or Surgical Tech program required.
• In lieu of certification prior experience as Central Service or Surgical Tech required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing instruments.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets and equipment.
• Maintains consistent workflow and provides superior customer service.
