Job summary

Chelsea Hospital in Chelsea, Michigan is seeking a CSR Central Sterile and Reprocessing Specialist to clean and reprocess contaminated instruments, load washers, assemble trays and operate autoclaves to maintain quality standards. The role supports OR, ASF, Labor & Delivery, Cath Lab, Hemodialysis and ER and requires 40 hours per week with a 3-11:30pm shift.

Responsibilities include circulating case carts, responding to urgent needs 24/7, and ensuring safety and OSHA guidelines are followed.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Central Sterile Reprocessing program or six to twelve months of relevant experience.
• Certification in Sterile Reprocessing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean contaminated instruments and trays using proper cleaning techniques.
• Operate washers and autoclaves, assemble instrument trays, and maintain quality standards.
• Circulate case carts after receiving preference cards from surgical sites.
• Respond to requests for unexpected needs and emergency items 24/7.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and safety standards in handling instruments.
