Job summary

Chelsea Hospital, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a CSR Central Sterile and Reprocessing Specialist to clean contaminated instruments and materials, operate washers and autoclaves, and assemble instrument trays to meet quality standards.

This full-time role requires 40 hours per week and a 3:11:30 pm shift; candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and completed an accredited Central Sterile Reprocessing program or comparable experience; certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Central Sterile Reprocessing program or 6–12 months of relevant experience.
• Certification in Sterile Reprocessing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans contaminated instruments and trays using proper techniques and safety standards.
• Operates washers and autoclaves and assembles instrument sets.
• Reprocesses vendor/specialty instrument sets and maintains vendor relationships.
• Assembles and labels instruments for sterilization and completes sets with minimal errors.
• Handles caseloads across orthopedic, neuro, cardiothoracic, general surgery and other services.
