Job summary

Dignity Health is looking for a Sterile Processing Technician in Phoenix, AZ. You will coordinate instruments and case carts for the Operating Room and other departments, ensuring that surgical instruments are cleaned, decontaminated, and sterilized according to established protocols.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, with preference for completion of a surgical instrument technician program. Full-time employees benefit from an education program providing up to $18,000 in assistance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred completion of a surgical instrument technician program or two (2) years of surgical instrument experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows cleaning, decontamination, and sterilization procedures per manufacturer’s instructions.
• Ensures that appropriate sterilization indicators and filters are placed in the instrument pan(s) prior to sterilization.
• Understands and complies with infection control policies and procedures.
