Job summary

HonorHealth seeks an OR Central Sterile technician to support instrument decontamination, prep and sterilization processes. Responsibilities include cleaning, assembling trays, labeling and ensuring proper workflow for perioperative teams.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and prefers candidates with prior sterile processing experience or internship hours. Evening shifts are available within the OR Central Sterile department at Four Peaks Medical Center in Mesa, AZ.

Qualifications

• 6 months sterile processing experience preferred.
• Currently enrolled in sterile processing training preferred.
• Complete 400 hours of sterile processing internship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate instrumentation and medical equipment using approved methods.
• Assemble, prep and pack instrumentation with proper labeling.
• Sterilize instruments following procedures and monitor validation parameters.
• Assemble case carts and manage sterile storage and inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
