Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to perform cleaning, decontamination, assembly, sterilization and high-level disinfection of surgical instruments and devices in the SPD. You will monitor environmental conditions and prepare case and emergency carts for procedures, ensuring readiness and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, excellent communication, and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, assemble, sterilize and high-level disinfect instruments and devices.
• Monitor environmental conditions and sterilization processes.
• Assemble and dispatch case carts and emergency carts.
• Maintain inventory and order SPD supplies.
