Job summary

Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center seeks a Sterile Processing Tech III to prepare, sterilize, install, or clean medical equipment. This role will train staff, assist in prioritizing workloads, and act as a point of escalation when supervision is not available.

Ideal candidates have five years in sterile processing and a High School Diploma or equivalent. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible applicants and Penn State University discount benefits apply to employees.

Prepare, sterilize, install or clean laboratory or healthcare equipment. May perform routine laboratory tasks and operate or inspect equipment. Will act as first point of escalation for staff members when supervisor is not immediately available. Individual will play integral role in training and mentoring new and existing employees and will assist in prioritizing assignments and adjusting workflows to ensure most pressing needs are met within deadlines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must have five (5) years of experience working in sterile processing
