Job summary

Mass General Brigham is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician II at Newton-Wellesley Hospital to ensure instrument sterilization to high quality standards. Responsibilities include disassembly, cleaning, decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments used in operating rooms and departments, with EPIC/CSIQ/SPM systems support.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of Central Processing Technology, and 2+ years of sterile processing experience,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Central Processing Technology Course required.
• Licensed/registered central service tech or CSPD/T equivalent required.
• 2+ years of sterile processing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, disinfect, decontaminate, assemble and sterilize instruments and supplies.
• Process flexible endoscopes and perform leak tests.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness and function.
• Assemble instruments and kits per kit information.
• Package and prepare loads for sterilization.
• Operate and document sterilization equipment and monitoring systems.
• Perform biological, chemical and mechanical monitoring.
