Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician II at Newton-Wellesley Hospital to ensure instrument integrity and sterile processing quality across OR, Maternity, ED, and related units.

Responsibilities include processing instruments, scopes, and supplies; performing routine testing; and supporting anesthesia and surgical teams with timely case prep. Candidates should have 2+ years in sterile processing and CPT coursework, with CRCST/CSPDT certifications preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of Central Processing Technology course required.
Two years of sterile processing experience preferred.
CRCST/CSPDT or equivalent registration required.

Responsibilities

Disassemble, clean, disinfect, decontaminate, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and equipment.
Leak test and process flexible endoscopes; inspect cleanliness and function.
Assemble surgical tools and kits per kit information.
Package and load instrument loads for sterilization.
Operate and document all decontamination and sterilization processes.
Monitor sterilizers; perform chemical, mechanical, and biological testing.
Respond to the needs of the surgical team and other departments as required.
Assist in staff training and rotate between SPD, GI, OSC as needed.
