Responsibilities

• Assembles general and specialty instrument sets.
• Examines surgical instrumentation for cleanliness and proper performance.
• Assembles instrument sets per lists and ensures proper sterilization.
• Checks instrument performance and identifies repair needs.
• Acts as resource on instrument identification, use, location, and availability.
• Maintains a neat, clean work area and reports improper equipment operation.
