Job summary

Qualifications

• Two (2) years recent experience in Sterile Processing in an acute hospital OR or Surgical Technician with Sterile Processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Fill orders from requesting departments.
• Make equipment rounds and return soiled equipment to SPD; clean equipment per manufacturers' recommendations and validate functionality prior to storage.
• Answer phones.
• Inventory and restock supplies per department policy.
• Order specialty beds and other patient equipment as needed.
• Disassemble and decontaminate surgical instruments per manufacturers' guidelines.
• Assemble, inspect, test, wrap and date OR sets per department protocol.
• Operate sterilization equipment and tracking systems; document tests and sterilizer records.
• Examine sterile packages and prepare OR case carts.
• Promote customer service to internal and external customers.
• Work collaboratively with team and perform related duties as assigned.
