Responsibilities

• Insures cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, maintenance, and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment for distribution.
• Ensures compliance with hospital policies on cleaning, sterilization, assembly, storage, and validation of supplies and equipment.
• Adheres to safety, environmental and infection control practices.
• Maintains applicable records and files.
• Operates sterilization equipment and washers and maintains quality and safety documentation.
• Collaborates to manage inventory of clean and sterilized instruments per standards.
