Job summary

MultiCare Deaconess Hospital in Spokane is seeking a Central Service Technician II to join the surgical services team. You will clean, sterilize and package instruments, maintain inventory and transport supplies, supporting the health care team under supervision.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a central service tech program or related training; CRCST certification preferred, with commitment to obtain within one year. Prior related experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of Central Service Technician course of study or healthcare organization training program; WA state requirements apply.
• Nationally recognized certification (e.g., CRCST) and/or 1 year of sterile processing experience preferred.
• Central Service Certification or commitment to obtain within one year of hire, as required by location.
• Minimum one year of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sterilize, and package instruments.
• Maintain inventory and transport supplies and equipment.
• Work under direct supervision with routine, service-oriented tasks.
• Coordinate with patient care providers and Materials Management staff.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Central Service Technician course or healthcare training

CRCST certification or equivalent

Commitment to obtain CS certification within 1 year
