Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Newton-Wellesley Hospital seeks a Sterile Processing Technician II to ensure instruments and devices are decontaminated, sterilized, and ready for use, collaborating with the OR and other departments to uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Effective written and verbal communications skills required.
• Completion of Central Processing Technology Course required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays according to IAHCSMM and CBSPD standards.
• Inventory and restock sterile supplies across hospital departments.
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, maintaining accurate records.
• Utilize scanning and computer systems for instrument tracking and case picking.
• Assist with onboarding and training new staff.
