Job summary

Enloe Health in Chico, CA, seeks a Sterile Processing Technician I to maintain reusable surgical instruments, perform decontamination, packaging, sterilization, handling and storage, under supervision. You will ensure accurate SPD documentation and support room turnover for perioperative services.

Requirements include about one year of sterile processing experience, a basic anatomy/physiology or medical terminology class, and current CPR.

Qualifications

• One year experience in sterile processing.
• Class in Basic Anatomy & Physiology and/or Medical Terminology completed.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, package, sterilize and store instruments and equipment.
• Maintain documentation of SPD processes accurately.
• Assist with room turnover and stock replenishment in Sterile Processing and surgery.
• Orient and train new employees; support operating room cleanliness.
