Job summary

Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the evening shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) in a Regular position. The role ensures proper maintenance and distribution of disposable supplies and durable medical equipment for patient care.

Required HS Diploma or equivalent; experience as an SPD tech within the last 12 months or graduation from an accredited SPD program. CSPDT is preferred. This unionized role falls under SEIU-UHW with 31-day membership requirement.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience as a Sterile Processing Technician within the last 12 months; or graduate of an accredited Sterile Processing Technician program within the last 12 months.
• CSPDT certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain and distribute disposable supplies and durable medical equipment for patient care.
• Document sterilizer load contents and testing results; label items and track biological/validation data.
• Inspect, assemble, sterilize, and deliver instruments and equipment to clinical areas.
• Follow infection prevention standards and operate SPD equipment safely and efficiently.
