Job summary

Sharp HealthCare seeks a Sterile Processing Technician for an evening shift in San Diego. The role requires handling disposable supplies and durable medical equipment for patient care, with weekend evening shifts and per diem/PRN scheduling.

The position operates under a SEIU-UHW collective bargaining agreement, with required union participation within 31 days of hire. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and either recent sterile processing experience or recent graduation

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
• Sterile processing technician experience within the last 12 months or graduate from an accredited program within the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper distribution of disposables and durable medical equipment for patient care.
• Communicate load status and equipment issues to SPD lead or supervisor.
• Document sterilizer loads, testing results, and recall actions.
• Prepare case carts and stock supplies as needed.
• Demonstrate competency and adhere to infection prevention standards.
