Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to clean, decontaminate, and sterilize reusable equipment. The role covers assembly of surgical/instrumentation and restocking case carts, with records management under supervision.

The position requires a high school diploma and completion of certification within 12 months. Rotate weekends; shift is 3pm–11:30pm, 40 hours weekly, non-exempt in Morgantown, WV.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must become registered within twelve months of starting.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, decontaminates, assembles and sterilizes all reusable patient care equipment.
• Operates sterilization and decontamination equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspects, assembles and sterilizes surgical and house instrumentation.
• Restocks case carts with supplies and equipment as per daily schedules.
• Maintains required sterilization records under supervision.
