WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician. The role involves decontamination, sterilization, and distribution of sterile items, ensuring exceptional patient care. Candidates must have a high school diploma and appropriate certification or be willing to obtain it within 18 months.
Working hours are scheduled from 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with the responsibilities including maintaining records, monitoring infection control, and providing necessary supplies to departments. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
Provides the facility with services in the areas of supply processing and distribution. Sterile processing has five major areas: Decontamination, processing (inspection, assembly and packaging), Sterilizing, Sterile Storage, and distribution.
Scheduled shift: 10:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
