Job summary

WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV, is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, prepare, sterilize and distribute surgical instruments and medical equipment across the surgery center, hospital and physician offices. You will follow infection control practices and safety standards in all steps of the process. Qualifications

• Previous sterile processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves contaminated instruments and delivers sterile instruments to where needed.
• Removes debris by manually cleaning instrument.
• Responsible for the operation and maintenance of decontamination equipment.
• Inspects instruments and equipment to ensure the safety of our patients.
• Tests and reports detected problems with all equipment.
• Responsible for organizing, storing, and keeping records of sterile supplies.
