Job summary

The University of Toledo is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician I to join the Sterile Processing department on the Health Science Campus. This part-time role (AFSCMEHSC) involves setup, reprocessing and care of patient-use equipment and surgical instruments, plus inventory control for supply areas.

Shift is 3:00 pm–11:30 pm; on-site location HSC H. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; preferred experience in sterile processing, nursing or surgery with infection

Qualifications

• Accredited high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to learn sterilization techniques and SPD equipment.
• Basic computer competency required.

Responsibilities

• Reports to Operations Supervisor or Surgical Technician as required.
• Performs setup, reprocessing and care of patient-use equipment and surgical instruments.
• Performs inventory control functions related to supply areas.
