Job summary

The University of Toledo is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician II to join the Sterile Processing team on the Health Science Campus. This part-time role supports the setup, reprocessing and care of patient-use equipment and surgical instruments, reporting to the Operations Supervisor or Surgical Technician.

Responsibilities include inventory control in supply areas, adherence to infection control and sterilization standards, and maintaining certifications.

Qualifications

• Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Sterile Processing certification through HSPA or CBSPD and maintain.
• CEU requirements must be kept according to certifying body.
• Experience in Sterile Processing, Nursing or Surgery with infection control focus.
• Basic computer competency.
• Willingness to learn surgical instruments, sterilization techniques and decontamination.
• Knows cleaning products and methods per manufacturers' IFU.

Responsibilities

• Set up, reprocess and care for patient-use equipment and surgical instruments.
• Perform inventory control in supply areas.
