Job summary

SHARP HealthCare is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure proper maintenance and distribution of supplies for patient care. The role requires a CSPDT-preferred candidate with recent SPD experience or completion of an accredited program.

Responsibilities include documenting sterilizer loads, labeling implantables for quarantine, and ensuring accurate instrumentation handling. The position offers a variable shift with potential per diem/PRN work and union-related terms.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience as a sterile processing technician within the last 12 months, or graduate of an accredited Sterile Processing Technician program within the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper distribution of disposable supplies and durable medical equipment for patient care.
• Document sterilizer loads and testing results, including biological and vacuum testing.
• Label all implantables for quarantine and ensure accurate instrument/sets labeling.
• Properly load and operate washer/sterilizers, steam, plasma and other sterilizing equipment.
