Job summary

Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to decontaminate, prepare and sterilize trays and instruments, manage inventory, and handle data entry for patient charges. This is a full-time day shift with 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required for new hires.
• At least two years experience as Central Sterile Technician; in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Central Supply Certified certification, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, prepare, and sterilize central sterile trays and instruments, and manage related inventory.
• Restock supplies and perform data entry including patient charge card batching.
• Demonstrates knowledge of department locations and effective communication with staff.
• Maintains awareness of equipment and supplies to support patient care.
