Job summary

Enloe Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician I to ensure instrument and patient care equipment are properly decontaminated, packaged, sterilized, and stored.

The role supports room turnover, inventory control, and department housekeeping, reporting to perioperative staff. The ideal candidate has 1 year in sterile processing, CPR certification, and the ability to communicate professionally with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in sterile processing.
• Completed class in Basic Anatomy and Physiology and/or Medical Terminology.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, packaging, sterilization, handling and storage of instruments and equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of SPD processes.
• Assist with room turnover and stocking in Sterile Processing and surgery areas.
• Assist with ordering and stocking supplies; orient and train new employees.
