Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore, MD seeks a Sterile Processing Technician for the Evening shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM). You will inspect, clean, assemble and sterilize surgical instrument sets and operate sterilization equipment. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of instrument processing experience.

Certifications from CBSPD, HSPA or IAHCSMM are required. Salary ranges from $21.99 to $25.52 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package and tuition

General Summary

• Inspects, cleans, assembles and sterilizes surgical instrument sets. Operates cleaning and sterilization equipment in order to clean instruments and supplies. Prepare supplies and equipment for steam sterilization and low temperature sterilization.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Minimum one (1) year instrument processing experience required
• CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) or Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management) certification

Shift

Evening Shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)

Salary Range: Minimum 21.99/hour - Maximum 25.52/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
