The Sterile Processing Tech IV possesses knowledge and skill necessary to function independently as an expert Sterile Processing Technician and will be responsible to mentor and orient new staff and students. The senior technician coordinates the overall activities within the Sterile Processing Department on their assigned shift and acts as the department and OR resource, in the absence of the Sterile Processing Supervisor. Inspects, cleans, assembles and sterilizes surgical instrument sets. Operates cleaning and sterilization equipment in order to clean instruments and supplies. Is proficient in the technical and quality performance metrics. Guides and assists SP Techs I, II, III. Performs QA audits
Salary Range: Minimum 29.52/hour - Maximum 29.52/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
