Job summary

KLA Industries in Gratiot, OH is seeking an Equipment Processing Tech / Certified to join our central service team. You will sterilize, assemble, and maintain instrument trays and equipment used in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring sterility and compliance with hospital standards.

Requires a high school diploma and certification in Sterile Processing and Distribution or ability to obtain within two years. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified in Sterile Processing and Distribution or obtain within two years of employment.
• Knowledgeable of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, disinfects, and terminally sterilizes instruments and equipment.
• Assembles trays used within area of responsibility.
• Keeps equipment coordinator informed of problems with equipment.
• Uses steam, Sterrad and Steris sterilization processes.
• Maintains event-related sterility according to procedure.
• Understands decontamination and sterilization processes for hospital instruments.
