Job summary

Sanford Health is hiring an Associate Sterile Processing Technician in Fargo, ND for an evening 2pm–10:30pm shift. No prior experience required as on-the-job training is provided.

You will prepare, clean, process, and store surgical instruments to ensure they are sterile and ready for patient care. The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to SOPs and infection prevention guidelines, and use of hospital IT tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in central processing or healthcare environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Must have strong phone and computer skills.
• CRCST certification preferred within 24 months of date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all patient care and surgical supplies, equipment, and instruments are properly inventoried, inspected, stored, distributed and reprocessed.
• Follow SOPs and infection prevention guidelines; recognize processing errors and notify leadership.
• Operate technologies such as EMR, instrument-tracking systems, inventory management, email, and Microsoft Office.
