Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure instruments are cleaned, disinfected and ready for surgical cases. You’ll work with nurses and surgeons to support safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced hospital setting.

This role requires enrollment or completion of a Sterile Processing Tech program and a High School diploma or GED, with 1+ year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing instruments and supplies per safety standards.
• Monitor sterilization cycles, document results, and resolve issues to ensure safe care.
• Prepare instrument trays and surgical rooms based on daily schedules.
• Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials while keeping areas clean.
• Collaborate with nurses and surgeons to support efficient surgeries.

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries

What qualifications you will need:

• Enrollment or Completion of Sterile Processing Tech program Required.
• High School Graduate / GED.
• 1 or more years of experience preferred.
