Job summary

UPMC Mercy Health Center in Pittsburgh is hiring full-time Sterile Processing Associates for evening or night shifts. You will clean, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and support our OR upgrade and Pavilion relocation to ensure safe, efficient hospital operations.

The role requires prior healthcare experience, good attendance, and professionalism. Certification is a plus but not required; scrubs and shoes are provided, with a career ladder for advancement and meaningful work

Qualifications

• Prior healthcare experience is required.
• Solid attendance and professionalism.
• Certification is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and sterilize instruments using manual and mechanical methods.
• Assemble surgical trays and case carts per established protocols.
• Monitor and document sterilization parameters.
• Maintain and troubleshoot sterilization equipment.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively.
• Participate in performance improvement and ongoing education.
