Job summary

The Central Supply Technician at UVA Health is responsible for decontaminating, assembling, sterilizing, labeling, and stocking instruments and supplies for UVA Health Culpeper department(s). This role supports maintenance of sterile processing standards and patient care equipment across facilities.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of hospital Sterile Reprocessing experience preferred, along with Sterile Processing Tech certification (CBSPD, CRCST or CSPDT).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department preferred.
• Sterile Processing Tech certification required. CBSPD, CRCST or CSPDT.

Responsibilities

• Receives, cleans, decontaminates, packages, labels and sterilizes instruments, supplies and equipment.
• Stocks and replenishes supplies and equipment and notifies department head when new items are needed.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area and handles sterilizers, carts, tables and equipment daily.
• Documents cleaning and sterilization processes per department standards and AORN guidelines.
