Job summary

UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center is seeking a Central Supply Technician for the full-time evening shift (3p-11:30p with call rotation). Responsibilities include decontaminating, assembling, sterilizing, labeling, and stocking instruments and supplies for multiple departments in UVA Health's Culpeper locations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and about one year of hospital sterile reprocessing experience; training and competency testing will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department preferred.
• Ability to complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
• Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays.
• Ability to learn and understand medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide clean, sterile instruments and supplies to meet customer needs.
• Decontaminate, assemble, sterilize, label, and stock supplies and equipment.
• Notify the department head when new or additional supplies or equipment are needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Clean sterilizers, carts, tables, and other equipment daily; document processes as required.
• Assist in unit-based quality monitoring and evaluate activities; support customer relations.
