Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical terminology course preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Computer proficiency and customer service experience.
• Central Service Certification required.
• BCLS certification preferred.
• Successful completion of 120-day orientation program.
• Ongoing compliance training and continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, inspects, assembles, packages, disinfects, and sterilizes surgical instruments and supplies.
• Documents and monitors sterilization processes to ensure compliance with standards.
• Supplies various departments with case carts based on surgeon preference and needs.
• Receives, unpacks, shelves, and maintains inventory of sterile supplies.
• Responds to requisitions and stat requests in a timely manner.
• Assembles procedure-specific case carts according to surgeon specifications and patient needs.
• Demonstrates collaboration and effective communication with staff.
