Ascension is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician at St. Francis Hospital to join our Sterile Processing team on a full-time mid-day shift.

You will operate sterilizing equipment, assemble and maintain instrument sets, stock supplies, and perform quality assurance while keeping daily records.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited sterile processing program preferred, with CRCST certification obtainable within 1 year of hire; 40 hours/week, M-F.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Accredited sterile processing program preferred.
• Must obtain CRCST certification within 1 year of hire.
• No experience required; training provided for CRCST.

Responsibilities

• Operate all sterilizing equipment following regulation directives.
• Assemble and maintain surgical instruments used in the facility.
• Inventory and reorder instruments and supplies.
• Perform quality assurance tests on equipment and maintain daily records.
