Job summary

Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the Operating Room by inspecting, preparing, receiving and issuing sterile equipment and supplies. You will work with washers, sterilizers and carts to ensure readiness for procedures.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED, 6 months to 1 year in a healthcare setting, CRCST certification, and strong aseptic technique.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience in a healthcare setting.
• CRCST certification required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, prepare, receive and issue sterile equipment for OR and inpatient units.
• Load and operate washers, dryers, ultrasonic cleaners and sterilizers.
• Maintain daily productivity and accuracy of sterile processing records.
