Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia is hiring a Central Sterile Tech to maintain standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments, and to support sterile supply operations. You will collaborate with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide instrument sets, equipment and case carts, while ensuring timely workflows and excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Central Sterile Tech program required or equivalent.
• If CST certificate is not held, 3 years of Central Sterile experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts.
• Assists in maintaining workflow and providing superior customer service.

Education

H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech Required

In Lieu of CST Certificate, 3 years of Central Sterile experience Required
