AdventHealth in Lenexa, Kansas seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to handle instrument sets, ensure sterility, and manage decontamination workflows. The role requires CRCST or CSPDT certification, HS diploma, and healthcare processing knowledge.

Work is on-site with day shifts and benefits from day one. Responsibilities include aseptic technique, instrument tracking, record-keeping, and collaboration across departments to maintain patient safety and efficiency.

Formación

• English language proficiency required to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Experience or understanding of healthcare sterile processing.
• Basic knowledge of microbiology and infection control principles.
• Knowledge of instrument tracking, decontamination, and sterilization processes.

Responsabilidades

• Selects appropriate materials and sterilization packaging for instrument sets.
• Ensures sterility indicators and lot stickers are present on all sets.
• Operates sterilization equipment and follows manufacturer instructions.
• Monitors sterilizer charts and records; documents requirements.
• Identifies and segregates reusable items for decontamination and sterilization.
• Inspects items for damage and proper assembly.
• Records information in tracking systems or counts sheets.
• Follows recall processes for sterilization failures; communicates issues.
