Job summary

St. Christopher's Hospital for Children seeks a Sterile Processing Tech for the Central Sterile Processing area on the second shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM).

Duties include processing used surgical instrumentation, assembling and wrapping packs, restocking storage areas, and assisting with sterilization and preparation tasks. The role requires solid communication and interpersonal skills, and certification in IAHCSMM or CBSPD is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required.
• Certification: IAHCSMM CERT or CBSPD CERT required.

Responsibilities

• Process used surgical instrumentation and assemble/ wrap packs.
• Restock storage areas and relieve other aides as needed.
• Receive and dispense supplies and equipment for Central Sterile Processing.
• Perform cleaning, assembling, preparation and sterilizing duties in Central Sterile Processing.
