Job summary

AdventHealth Parker in Colorado is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to prepare instrument sets, ensure proper aseptic packaging, and operate advanced sterilization equipment. You will verify sterility indicators, document parameters, and support the sterile processing workflow in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Required: High school diploma, CRCST or CSPDT certification, and focus on infection control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical/vocational training preferred.
• Field of study: healthcare sterile processing.
• 1+ related experience preferred.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Selects appropriate materials and sterilization packaging for instrument sets.
• Operates sterilization equipment according to manufacturer instructions.
• Reviews and signs sterilizer charts to verify parameters.
• Ensures sterility indicators and lot stickers are present on all items.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

• Selects appropriate materials and sterilization packaging for each instrument set, ensuring proper wrapping for aseptic technique.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Ensures sterility indicators and lot stickers are present on all instrument sets and packages.
• Operates complex sterilization equipment, selecting the correct method of sterilization based on manufacturer instructions.
• Reviews and signs all sterilizer recording charts to verify proper sterilization parameters before releasing items for clinical use.

• Ability and experience with computer systems [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ related experience [Preferred]

• Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST)[Required] OR
