Job summary

Driscoll Children’s Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Tech to monitor sterilizers and prepare instruments for use in patient care. The role focuses on decontamination, tray setup, and adherence to OR and hospital sterilization protocols.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED and up to 1 year of related hospital experience; HSPA certification is preferred. This on-site position supports a busy surgical services department and requires careful record-keeping and inventory

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Break down and decontaminate instruments following procedure according to protocols.
• Set up trays and prepare for sterilization.
• Sterilize instruments and supplies according to Operating Room, Central Processing and manufacturer protocols and standards.
• Monitor sterilization process and maintains daily, permanent record of sterilization parameters according to hospital protocols.
• Maintain a clean environment and inventory of supplies and instruments.
