Job summary

IU Health is seeking a skilled Instrument Tech III to prepare for surgical cases by cleaning, wrapping, sterilizing, and distributing endoscopic instruments and equipment. You will mentor staff, guide instrumentation assembly, and assist with case carts and inventory management.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, plus CST certification maintenance where applicable; strong medical terminology knowledge and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of Endo instrumentation function and maintenance preferred.
• Must maintain current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist if in a hybrid OR/SPD role.
• Demonstrates expert knowledge and skills necessary to function as a Tech III.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, wraps, sterilizes, stores and distributes equipment and instruments for patient care.
• Assists clinical staff using specialized knowledge to prepare for surgical cases.
• Acts as a resource/mentor for the team and other staff; supplies guidance on instrumentation and case carts.
• Supports Manager with scheduling, training and inventory duties.
