The US Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Supervisory Medical Supply Technician (Sterile Processing) to oversee day-to-day operations in Sterile Processing Service, ensuring accurate handling and timely flow of reusable medical equipment. It involves coordinating with customers and resolving informal complaints to maintain smooth operations.

The position is at the GS-08 level, with supervisory responsibilities and requirements per VA qualifications.

Competenze

• Six months of experience demonstrating ability to perform the work or understanding of the work; OR
• One year above high school including at least 6 semester hours in health care related courses such as sterile processing, nursing assistant, hospital corpsman, operating room and surgical technician courses or other related courses; OR
• Equivalent combination of experience and education are qualifying for entry level for which both education and experience are acceptable.

• Supervises day-to-day operations in Sterile Processing Service.
• Communicates daily with customers to ensure open communication and uninterrupted flow of reusable medical equipment.
• Resolves informal complaints and grievances.
• Oversees attendance, scheduling, and personnel issues; directs staff and manages tasks.
