Job summary

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is hiring a Sterile Processing Supervisor to lead a high-volume, short-stay surgical unit renowned for quality and safety. The role directs sterile processing staff, ensuring decontamination, prep & pack, and accurate sterilization records.

The ideal candidate has CRCST certification, 2–5 years of supervisor experience, and an associate degree is preferred; high school diploma is required. Evening shift from 1400 to 2230 with competitive benefits.

• CRCST certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs sterile processing staff; hires, trains, assigns work, evaluates performance, and conducts development plans.
• Collaborates with other departments to apply professional standards.
• Provides decontamination and sterilization evaluation planning and operations support.
• Assists or manages unit services and integration with other departments.
• Monitors surgery schedule to ensure instruments are available.
• May participate in staffing and budget planning.
