Job summary

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is seeking an educator to lead the Sterile Processing department's onboarding, training, and competency validation. The role focuses on developing ongoing education and ensuring adherence to standards in a collaborative setting.

You will work with leadership to maintain regulatory readiness, update education materials, and mentor staff to support patient safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCST certification required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: <2 years required; 5-10 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with staff and external organizations to develop, present and evaluate clinically focused training and continuing education.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate ongoing educational activities and programs for sterile processing technicians.
• Daily hands-on training of new hires and preceptors to ensure consistency and high quality outcomes.
• Promotes safety, quality and regulatory compliance; collaborates with leadership to update CSPD policies and procedures.
• Develops education plans and standard work documents in collaboration with leadership.
