Job summary

St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, part of Hartford HealthCare, seeks an SPS Department Supervisor to oversee sterilization and decontamination services, plan daily operations, and lead team leads, staff, and department activities.

This role may serve as interim department manager in the absence of the SPS Site Manager, and requires strong leadership, extensive SPS experience, and CBSPD/CRCST certifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Sterile Processing Services experience required.
• 5+ years of Sterile Processing Services experience required.
• Current Sterile Processing certifications (CBSPD or CRCST) required.
• Knowledge of instrumentation for bariatric, cardiovascular, orthopedics, neuro, and robotic procedures is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all sterilization and decontamination services for the SPS department.
• Organize daily operations and supervise team leads, staff, and department services.
• Serve as interim department manager in the absence of the SPS Site Manager.
